8 teams will qualify into Group stage(Group A and Group B) on African Youth Championship with a single round robin system. The top two teams from each group advance to the Semifinal and also qualified for the FIFA U-20 World Cup. The loser in the semifinals will compete for the third place, and the winner will compete for the final championship.
